Acceptance of Nature-based solutions & their implementation in guidelines: Lead by Junguo Liu and Nejc Bezak
The implementation of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) is still limited due to the perception that they are not as efficient as traditional grey solutions might suggest. Some NbS are targeted to minimize risks of more than one type of hydro-climatic extremes, such as floods or droughts. However, their implementation is mostly not considered in a holistic view, e.g., the background is on flooding only, whilst neglecting droughts.
