IAHS History of Hydrology Working Group
The IAHS Working Group on History of Hydrology was established in 2022 to help the hydrological community develop a stronger historical understanding of its science. The Working Group explores hydrological histories across countries, cultures, and communities, with attention to underrepresented countries, women, Indigenous cultures, experimental catchments, models, exemplary projects, and concepts. Its activities include expanding the history-of-hydrology.net wiki, conducting interviews, hosting webinars, publishing newsletters, organising conference sessions, and stimulating publications and special issues, providing material for hydrological teaching and education.
