Acknowledging Panta Rhei in a publication gives the opportunity to include it among the list of the Panta Rhei papers that is published here. These papers are highlighted in the web page of Panta Rhei and constitute a reference for colleagues working on similar topics. Moreover, these papers will be cited in the periodical synthesis of the Panta Rhei activities.

Is Panta Rhei funded?
No, Panta Rhei is not funded in itself, but the experience suggests that relating a proposal for funding to a worldwide research initiative increases the chances of success of the proposal itself. Panta Rhei encourages working groups to submit proposals for funding and offers international recognition to funded projects.
I really would like to propose a Panta Rhei Working Group but I am alone. Am I allowed to submit a proposal for a Working Group anyway?
Of course yes! Panta Rhei requires that Working Groups are formed by at least 6 individuals from at least 3 different countries. However, by no means you should give up proposing a Working Group just because of this requirement. Please contact us and explain your ideas to us, we will put you in touch with other colleagues who will be willing to host you in their Working Group or to join the Working Group that you would like to propose. The only strict requirement is the willingness to support Panta Rhei!
I am an individual and I would like to propose a Research Theme. I see that Research Themes should be connected to Working Groups but I do not see any Working Group related to the theme I would like to propose. I would be willing to form a Working Group but being an individual I cannot put together 6 people from 3 different countries. Should I forget my proposal for a Panta Rhei Research Theme?
Of course not! We require that Research Themes are associated to Working Groups to make sure that some people take care of the proposed theme, and we require a minimum of 6 people from 3 different countries to form a Working Group to stimulate cooperation, interdisciplinarity and internationalisation. However, if you do not find any Working Group related to your Research Theme and cannot find any colleague that is willing to form a Working Group with you, please contact us. If you are personally willing to work, we will find a solution. We will put you in touch with other colleagues who will be willing to host you in their Working Group or to join the Working Group that you would like to propose.
I would like to propose and lead a Working Group but I am concerned by the paper work.
There's almost no paper work. The proposal is very simple to prepare (200 words may be enough) and the annual report can be resolved with a one page list of the activities that have been done. A template will be prepared by us for the annual report. The paper work will take no more than a few hours per year!
Why should I acknowledge Panta Rhei in my paper?
Because the paper will be included in the list of the Panta Rhei papers, will be better known to the community and more immediately recognized.
